Tanja Schmidt Osterkamp is an award-winning painter and draftsman based in Germany whose works have been widely exhibited nationally, as well as in Austria and Poland. She believes that art should be free and that painting should be "freed from information, education, or statement constraints". In addition, Osterkamp feels that it is up to the viewer to connect with an image and to "harmonize their own feelings with it". Her striking compositions are created with acrylics on canvas.
