This painting is part of a series of female portraits created for the exhibition in Bellagio, Lake Como, Italy.
Each painting includes several layers. As I work I feel the need to add layers. It is as if each of them represented a story, a moment, an experience that overlaps with the previous one, creating a network of memories and emotions.
In my artistic process I try to evoke a sense of nostalgia, of temporal suspension, in which the past and… the future merge into a single intense moment.
