There’s something about a pink rose those soft layers, that gentle glow. It doesn’t rush. It doesn’t demand attention. And yet… you can’t look away. That’s what drew me in. I wanted to understand that quiet strength.
So I slowed down. I painted each petal one at a time. Watching it unfold slowly, naturally like it was teaching me something. And honestly? It was. It reminded me that not everything beautiful happens all at once. Some things take time.… Some things grow gently.
And then there’s that red bud beside it. Not fully open yet. Full of potential. Full of promise.
When I stepped back, something surprised me. Up close, the petals almost looked like a flowing skirt soft, full of movement, alive. Not perfect. Not rigid. Just real.
This piece is tender. It’s a reminder that beauty isn’t loud. Growth isn’t rushed. And sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do… is allow yourself to unfold, one layer at a time.
