In "In Stillness", I explore my connection to nature and the inner state that arises through its quiet contemplation. I am inspired not by specific landscapes, but by personal impressions shaped by seasonal changes, gentle transitions, and moments that remain in memory after observing nature.
My process is intuitive. I choose colors, textures, and layers based on my current emotional and perceptual state, allowing the painting to develop naturally.… The palette and surface evolve gradually, reflecting a sense of balance, calm focus, and inner clarity.
Through layered textures and softened transitions, I aim to create a contemplative abstract space that supports harmony and quiet presence. This work is intended to offer a calm, supportive visual experience, suitable for modern interiors and for viewers who are drawn to contemporary abstract art rooted in atmosphere and emotion. The painting is coated with satin varnish for protection.

My path into art was not traditional. I came to painting in a mature age, after a successful career in biology. For a long time, my inner world was shaped not by emotion, but by scientific thinking: structure, analysis, and proof.
At some point, something shifted. Whether by chance, fate, or a memory carried through generations, the creative impulse made itself known. I grew up in a family with deep artistic roots.
I was born in Central Asia and now live in Norway. These two experiences shaped my perception of color and light: the warmth of the South as inner energy, and the Northern silence as a sense of pause.
I work with acrylic on canvas, creating layered abstractions where lived experience accumulates.
My works are not stories. They are states. Emotion becomes rhythm, stillness turns into movement.
Turquoise is my weakness. I love this color without explanation — as if I do not choose it, but it chooses me.
