At Dawn, the world holds its breath - suspended between stillness and awakening. Hints of a city or a mountain ridge emerge through translucent layers of blue, rose, and ochre, as light begins to unfold across the surface. Built with palette knife and layered acrylics, the texture reflects both motion and calm — the quiet energy of a day being born.

My path into art was not traditional. I came to painting after a successful career in biology, where I earned a Ph.D. in veterinary virology and microbiology. This background continues to shape my approach — through structure, layering and attention to detail.
My work focuses on layered abstraction, where color, texture and gesture create depth and movement. Rather than depicting specific subjects, I build compositions that evolve through accumulation and subtle shifts.
I was born in Central Asia and now live in Norway. This contrast informs my palette: warmth and density balanced with calm, light and space. My paintings often combine these qualities, creating works that feel both grounded and atmospheric.
My paintings are designed to function within interiors, bringing structure, color balance and quiet movement.
