In Pleasant Memories, I explore a quiet inner emotional state shaped by my personal feelings and by observing nature. The painting conveys warmth, love, tenderness, and a sense of emotional comfort. It is not about flowers - It is about love.
Within the abstract composition, a bouquet can be intuitively perceived. It is not a literal floral image, but an emotional impression expressed through layered textures, soft transitions, and organic, floral-like… forms. I work intuitively, allowing color and texture to emerge naturally in response to my inner state during the painting process.
The muted, harmonious palette and expressive surface create a calm, positive atmosphere. The work remains intentionally abstract, inviting the viewer to connect through their own associations and emotions.

My path into art was not traditional. I came to painting in a mature age, after a successful career in biology. For a long time, my inner world was shaped not by emotion, but by scientific thinking: structure, analysis, and proof.
At some point, something shifted. Whether by chance, fate, or a memory carried through generations, the creative impulse made itself known. I grew up in a family with deep artistic roots.
I was born in Central Asia and now live in Norway. These two experiences shaped my perception of color and light: the warmth of the South as inner energy, and the Northern silence as a sense of pause.
I work with acrylic on canvas, creating layered abstractions where lived experience accumulates.
My works are not stories. They are states. Emotion becomes rhythm, stillness turns into movement.
Turquoise is my weakness. I love this color without explanation — as if I do not choose it, but it chooses me.
For me, painting is not a way to tell, but a way to remain.
