About this artwork
"Cosmic Rays" is a profound experiment in modern mixed-media art. The work captures the explosive energy of the universe by combining an abstract, cosmic background in fluid art technique (using silicone and sand) with the graphic silhouette of a peacock.
The technical highlight lies in the contrast: while the background gains an organic, almost relief-like depth through the flowing technique and the tactile sand texture, fine details and highlights… were deliberately placed using acrylic markers. These graphic elements emphasize the delicate splendor of the feathers, but consciously forgo realistic details in order to preserve the abstract, ethereal atmosphere.
The painting explores the powerful theme of transformation – the peacock becomes a symbol of an immortal phoenix emerging from the infinite expanse of the cosmos. It is a work about becoming, passing away, and the radiant connection between nature and the universe.
