About this artwork
This work is part of the "Books That Shaped Me" series and is dedicated to my personal encounter with Richard Bach's "Jonathan Livingston Seagull," which I read as a teenager. The background story can be found in the gallery's texts.
The work is offered as a print – but it is not a photographed original.
It was created digitally, brushstroke by brushstroke, layer by layer – in my unique style “Digital Watercolor”.
I painted it on a large digital… canvas, with complete control over every single layer and every pixel.
This allowed me to create details that could never be captured with this precision by a camera.
This work is not simply “fit for print”—it was created for that purpose from the very beginning.
Every color gradient, every texture, every light reflection is deliberately composed – for a result that is unique among fine art prints in its clarity and depth.
