About this artwork
I have experimented with enamel paint for years because I love what the material can produce in terms of effect and emotion on canvas. The paint is not as easy to work with as it seems. « I believe in hard work and through the process of hard work, one becomes more enlightened and closer to the truth. »
Tay Dall is an established South African painter with international exposure. Her abstract paintings work to harmonize disparate elements, often combining collage, ink, pastel and pencil, which the artist feels harbor an essence of meaning rather than a direct theme. This feature allows the viewer to experience each work in their own way and to derive their own meanings or messages from the art.
