About this artwork
My floorworks are evolving into a unique process. This work is a part of a new approach. The canvas of this specific art piece is made from scraps of canvas which I sewed together. I then taped the canvas to my studio floor by my painting wall and allowed drips and spills and even cleaning my brushes on to the floorwork. After a time period when I feel the floorwork is ready I work into it with specific details and try to balance out the structure…
and colour. Then I have a frame built by my carpenter and then it is stretched. After this I hang it on my wall and do the final touch ups and reworks until I am satisfied. The process allows for a certain randomness and gives a unique quality to the overall tone and structure of the work.
