About this artwork
This is titled, "Peace". In this painting, I used realism in acrylic paints on canvas .It depicts an empty breakfast table with a newspaper, coffee, cigarettes, glassl ies and a hot coffee. The newspaper headline, PEACE, brought back memories of the Vietnam War, where I served in the military. Those memories, forced me to leave the table.
My painting depicted that moment, in the early 1970s. A moment that never left me. And those memories, from… over 50 years ago, still haunt me.
