About this artwork
This painting started out as a coastal piece with blues, teals and lavenders. As I continued to add layers, I started to get a bubble effect, so I continued it all the way over the whole canvas. When my daughter saw it she called it bubble guppies and it stuck.

Teodora Guererra is an American artist whose paintings have been featured in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United States. Describing herself a big risk-taker, she feels that her abstract compositions are a "continuous series of failures" until she works it out compositionally. Guererra creates using fluid movements that are both complex and minimal. She prefers to paint on larger canvases with acrylics.
