About this artwork
Pieces 1 is composed of three canvases of increasing size, representing the tail, head, and body of a cat. The three parts are not joined by pictorial continuity, but by blue LEGO elements that physically connect the canvases, creating an unstable bridge between the sections of the subject.
The artist provides the collector with an additional set of LEGO bricks, allowing them to interact with the work, modify connections, add elements, or recompose… the structure. The gesture isn't decorative: it's an act of identity reconstruction, an attempt to hold together a subject perceived as fragmented.
LEGO becomes a tool for connection and repair. The collector can physically intervene, becoming part of the process.
The cat is a neurodivergent figure, who uses play as a psychic glue

ThAblueCat
Italy
ThaBlueCat, a self-taught Italian visual artist, combines painting, sculpture and symbolic language in his art. He uses techniques such as expressive divisionism and the use of translucent materials such as blue PETG for his sculptures, often backlit to symbolize an internal consciousness. His works explore the autistic condition, symbolized through the figure of the Blue Cat, trying to express themes such as perception, isolation and acute sensitivity. Emotions of tension, attention, introspection and resistance pervade his work, a resistant art form that speaks to those who feel out of step with the world.
