About this artwork
My approach captures the light. This work is part of a research project on contemporary bas-relief, where light becomes an active element of the composition.
Each piece is born from an impulse, a stroke, an energy etched into the material, which is revealed through the interplay of hollows and reliefs. Unique textures structure the surface and reveal the reliefs, creating an ever-evolving play of shadows over time.
Photography freezes a moment.… The artwork lives in space.
It interacts with the architecture, captures the light, and subtly transforms depending on the viewpoint.
In this work, I explored the depth and mystery of nature. The abstract and semi-abstract style evokes the wispy bark of trees under a night rain, creating a rich texture that invites contemplation.

Thibault Daclin, an inspired designer, weaves his art between his two passions, interior architecture and graphic design.
His unique technique combines hand drawing and engraved prints. The original graphic design is revealed by playing on the opposition of hollows and reliefs,
and WITHOUT THE USE OF A BRUSH. The brightness is thus captured, on a razor's edge. These raised prints vibrate in each space to the rhythm of the light.
