About this artwork
“Hope brings life”. This somewhat hackneyed French proverb annoyed the artist at first.
Used in any context, it is somehow a way of avoiding the search for the answer to a question, a problem.
Then, the artist having reflected on the meaning of these words, he concluded that this represented a reality.
Life is movement. What drives the desire to move forward, often at the cost of great effort? The answer is precisely hope, that of reaching the… goal we have set ourselves.
Success is never won in advance.
Admittedly, we can assure ourselves of the strengths through a solid project, good preparation, honed skills, but a proportion of uncertainty still remains.
It is hope that fills this space of doubt that leads to fear and the consequence of which is immobility.
Hope restores confidence in the future and in life.

Credentials
- Experienced Artist
« Sometimes, when I sleep, I dream a very precise vision of a work to paint. »
Thierry Vobmann is an experienced French painter and sculptor with international exposure. He almost exclusively composes abstract paintings, seeking to express everything we can't physically experience: sound, smell, warmth, feeling... that which is still noticeable even if invisible. Vobmann's finished works display an impressive balance of volume, texture and color.
