About this artwork
FLUIDITY is a work made on canvas stretched on a 3D frame 3.5 centimeters thick. This gives it an increased presence because the image is largely offset from the plane of the wall on which it is suspended. This third dimension of the finished work makes it possible to obtain a sculptural effect which highlights the canvas.
The technique employed by the artist, as the title suggests, is that of pouring. The highly liquid tints are applied one after… the other and directed by tilting, blowing and various instruments to produce the desired pattern. The technical difficulty is very present there because it is not necessary that the colors mix but to create between them marriages of astonishing transparency.
The edges of the canvas are painted black for a perfect finish and the work will be delivered ready to hang with a cord on the back.

France
« Sometimes, when I sleep, I dream a very precise vision of a work to paint. »
Thierry Vobmann is an experienced French painter and sculptor with international exposure. He almost exclusively composes abstract paintings, seeking to express everything we can't physically experience: sound, smell, warmth, feeling... that which is still noticeable even if invisible. Vobmann's finished works display an impressive balance of volume, texture and color.
