About this artwork
Full moon. How much has it aroused fears, dreams and legends. At the same time so close and so inaccessible, she always fascinated Thierry, not only because of the stories but also by a magic attraction. There is a real attraction of the moon, see the action it has on the tides but, for the artist, perhaps due to a more acute sensitivity, there is something more. This full moon captivates him, he feels like he is under hypnosis, dependent on this…
intense night light.
This canvas, painted with a knife and a brush, illustrates the disturbing atmosphere of the full moon above the ocean.

« Sometimes, when I sleep, I dream a very precise vision of a work to paint. »
Thierry Vobmann is an experienced French painter and sculptor with international exposure. He almost exclusively composes abstract paintings, seeking to express everything we can't physically experience: sound, smell, warmth, feeling... that which is still noticeable even if invisible. Vobmann's finished works display an impressive balance of volume, texture and color.
