About this artwork
The tropical forests of Amazonia, but also of Congo and Indonesia, the planet's real lungs, are in great danger.
Human activities are inexorably destroying these age-old habitats. Trees cut down to make way for livestock and agriculture in general, no longer retain the soil, which leads to inevitable and irreversible desertification, especially as rain becomes rarer in these deforestation areas, further increases the destructive effects and the… risk of fires.
This semi-abstract work is intended to be a warning signal to draw attention to the ecological disasters linked to man's thirst for profit.
"RAINFOREST" is a very large canvas. The painted surface measures 190x91 centimeters. A border of four centimeters all around is provided for fixing to a frame. Total dimensions 198x99 centimeters.

Thierry Vobmann is an experienced French painter and sculptor with international exposure. He almost exclusively composes abstract paintings, seeking to express everything we can't physically experience: sound, smell, warmth, feeling... that which is still noticeable even if invisible.
