About this artwork
Here is an abstract work that highlights the color red.
A striking effect is produced by several factors, the significant thickness of the red paint, its sand-like granulometry, as well as the movement imparted by the application with a knife.
This painting has a surprising visual impact which illustrates the color red well, both violent and bewitching, a strong color, a sign of power and passion, a color that repels as well as it attracts, without… ever leaving anyone indifferent.

« Sometimes, when I sleep, I dream a very precise vision of a work to paint. »
Thierry Vobmann is an experienced French painter and sculptor with international exposure. He almost exclusively composes abstract paintings, seeking to express everything we can't physically experience: sound, smell, warmth, feeling... that which is still noticeable even if invisible. Vobmann's finished works display an impressive balance of volume, texture and color.
