About this artwork
We are in the presence of a vigorous work and yet dotted with a diaphanous sweetness. It illustrates the Autan wind which is a swirling wind from the south west of France. A wind that sets wheat and sun-dried grass in summer.
This canvas is painted with a knife in its central part. As for the background, it is made of multiple layers of transparent paint, which gives it all its depth and softness.
The tones are warm, from ocher to yellow with… bluish shades that evoke azure.
