Thomas Butzlaff is a painter and sculptor. He was born in West Germany and studied fine art at the University of Cologne. He combines traditional painting techniques with random processes, drawing on abstract expressionism to create surreal, colorful worlds in which figurative and abstract forms merge. His works oscillate between human representation and landscape, exploring fantastical realities and individual mythologies.
