About this artwork
Try to rearrange the reality, change the perspective illusionistically through spatial paradoxes and set the colors according to my taste.
The starting point of this series is the overloading of our senses in digital times through information, advertising and consumption. My painting reflects the no longer identifiable input traces and gives them a new disorder. No story, no order, no direction, no harmony.

« "Each finished picture creates new questions that challenges me to find an answer with the next one." »
Thomas de Leliwa’s paintings have been exhibited in his native Germany and the United States. One of his works was even featured in Architectural Digest at the home of actor Robert Downey Jr. De Leliwa seeks to challenge, overwhelm and entertain the viewer with his art. He is intrigued by the discourse, symbolism and image myths produced by the media. As our society is supersaturated with bursts of colour, he also explores this aesthetic phenomenon of “over-excitement” in his work.
