A milieu of fractured, fragmented figures stagger and lurch along the pavement of the streets. It is closing times at night and the bars, pubs and clubs have rang last orders, asked all their punters to drink up and now the sprawling, drunken, barely functioning mass is swarming across the street. Some are crawling from the right hand side of the canvas to the left, some are cheering with their arms aloft, others are hiding and hoping that they…

I can relate to these figures; sometimes barely able to stand up and function, as if you are falling apart. I've had many nights like that (and some days) but somehow I manage to pull it all together and rebuild something whole from the fractured splinters...
