About this artwork
"Invisible" evokes the so-called Kirlian photography process that was accidentally discovered in 1939 by the Russian technician Semyon Kirlian and his wife Valentina Kirlian. Kirlian shots show a bright halo around an object. For Kirlian and his successors, attached to the field of parapsychology and energetic medicine, Kirlian photography would be a manifestation of the human aura.
