About this artwork
In my work, I interweave oil and pigments into an abstract landscape that captures the tranquil expanse and subtle nuances of an endless horizon. This composition reflects profound tranquility and, at the same time, a mysterious dynamism. The soft, flowing transitions create an atmosphere of contemplation and reflection. It is a painting that invites you to lose yourself while simultaneously finding strength and peace in any space.
« Art is much more to me than just a job or a passion. It is like a friend, an advisor and a guide. Art is simply my life. »
Thomas Hain, a visual artist who focuses on painting and was inspired by a formative encounter with art in Italy. He experiments with the glazing technique on heavy, self-stretched canvases and creates relief-like surfaces by scratching, rolling and spatulas that create a tangible tension between form and color. His works radiate a dynamic calm and convey the balance between destruction and creation, which transports the viewer into the unique moment of creation.
