About this artwork
The work Abysse unfolds around a universe dominated by shades of blue pigment, evoking the unfathomable depths of the oceans. Each layer of blue, ranging from the lightest to the darkest hues, creates an effect of depth that draws the eye inward, like an aquatic vortex.
Cobalt blue, indigo blue and very light touches overlap and intertwine, forming an abstract and mysterious seascape.
The textures, achieved through a play of free gestures and material… application, recall the undulating movements of water, waves, and underwater currents. One can also imagine floating shapes and shadows accentuating the enigmatic aspect of the painting.
