About this artwork
The Native Americans were a nature-loving and spiritual people who only had the resources of Mother Earth at their disposal. With the knowledge passed down from many generations, they were not only able to defy the forces of nature, but also use them to survive. "The Indian" is a depiction of an elderly, peaceful tribesman carrying a stick in his hand. With a lot of calm, but a little thoughtful, he looks ahead.
