About this artwork
Lean on is a series of sculptures made from sandstone cubes arranged individually and in pairs.
Each cube as an element of this sculpture nestles up against the next - and none is like the other. And yet this series results in a fixed form that remains flexible. This "leaning on each other" is important and beautiful in every relationship, and flexibility in working together is also necessary.
Sacrum is the cross - the backbone of the human being… and reflects the structure of the spine, but also the transience of life.
