About this artwork
In my creation, I blend elements of expressionism, pop art, and surrealism to create a visually striking image that evokes both contemplation and emotional resonance. The use of acrylic, collage, and spray paint allows for a dynamic variety of textures. This artwork represents a powerful, almost rebellious exploration of identity and burden, immersed in vibrant and contrasting colors that will take on an unmistakable presence in any space. It is… an emotional echo of my thoughts on freedom and the rejection of imposed burdens.
Thomas Kelm draws inspiration from subcultural movements and uses street art and DIY elements. His unique multilayer technique combines collage and painting, and his visual language often includes anthropomorphic and animal elements. Through intense and contrasting colors, he creates a tense atmosphere. In his works, Kelm addresses the fluid boundaries between humanity and artificial influences, encouraging the viewer to reflect on evolution, identity, and the relationship between humans and nature.
