Thomas Ranft is an award-winning draftsman and printmaker based in Germany whose works have been extensively exhibited on a national level, as well as in Switzerland and the United States. Inspired by his love of literature and music, he describes himself as always having been overwhelmed by the "fantastic detail". Ranft places independence and creation without limits at the heart of his artistic expression. His engravings, lithography, and illustrations translate the connections between imagery, writing, words, and signs.
