About this artwork
A sunset that welcomes us home. These sunsets did more to inspire me to become a painter than anything else. After many years of painting, I developed a set of techniques that allowed me to capture the look of these beautiful moments just before nightfall. These techniques have allowed me to develop this special look that I believe is unique to my work. These sundown works are my signature works, and they have not been quickly or easily achieved.

Thomas Stotts is an award-winning American artist whose paintings have been exhibited in the United States. His artistic practice was at one time primarily concerned with photorealistic renderings. However, Stotts expression progressed into the creation of atmospheric landscapes. All of his compositions, including abstracts, are imbued with engaging textural elements. He most often creates using acrylics on canvas.
