This abstract painting was born out of a fascination with the dramatic force of nature as an approaching thunderstorm appeared in the Rocky Mountains.
The powerful, curved lines symbolize the massive mountain ranges, while the vibrant colors capture the energy and mood of the landscape.
Lightning strikes break through the impressive cloud cover and create… a captivating interplay between heaven and earth.
Using acrylic paints on canvas, I captured the raw power and unbridled beauty of a thunderstorm in one of the world's most famous mountain ranges.
The painting measures 80 x 60 centimeters and conveys the dynamism and magic of a natural phenomenon that makes the Rocky Mountains so unique.
The canvas is stretched on a stretcher frame and framed in a shadow gap frame, which shows off the picture to its best advantage.
