Who doesn’t know, recognize, admire, or deeply love Taylor Swift? This painting was created with a great deal of passion, and it pushed me out of my comfort zone by leaving the washed blue raw canvas background exposed.
By doing so, the face feels less physical, as if it is passing through the surface rather than sitting on it. More like the spirit or presence of the person than a fully tangible form. The portrait invites the viewer to connect not… only with the image, but with the emotion and symbolism the figure carries.
