About this artwork
Spiraling in the deep vibes a churning and chasmic roar of color and light. Multiple layers interweave peeking up and diving down in revelatory awakencies and soft quiet dormancies. Intricate details come to life the most in full light, where the rays can illuminate the tiniest speck and wisps of color that dance upon the canvas. Metallic accents and bright inks pigment the resin for vibrant bursting colors and movement that Tiffani is known for…
in her underwater and nebula series.
What is Resin? Resin is commonly known as epoxy. Epoxy resin has a brilliant glass-like finish and is used for its durability in surfboards, boats, even counters, and flooring! Tiffani uses similar techniques to the surfboard crafters where she mixes the two parts resin, starting a 1-hour timer she must work quickly and expertly off of hundreds of hours of experience to pigment the resin, pour it, and painting with it using a knife and a blowtorch before it starts to permanently cure.

Tiffani Buteau is an artist celebrated for her innovative painting technique that combines sculpting and pouring resin. Her work captures the tranquil beauty of nature. Despite the challenges posed by dysautonomia, a condition that affects her autonomic nervous system and necessitates working in short, focused bursts, Tiffani's dedication to her craft remains unwavering. Her resilience and passion shine through in all her works, which are not only visual feasts but also embodiments of her perseverance. Tiffani's unique approach to art—blending traditional sculpting with the fluid dynamics of resin—creates multidimensional masterpieces. Living near Seattle, Tiffani works out of a charming A-frame studio nestled in the woods, a setting that deeply inspires her nature-themed creations. Due to her disability, she does not participate in exhibitions. Instead, she exclusively sells her artwork online to collectors worldwide, allowing her to share her art with a global audience.
