About this artwork
A crowned figure sits astride a pink piggy bank, its grotesque expression caught between triumph and desperation. The pig, transformed from a familiar symbol of security into a fragile, wide-eyed creature, bears the uneasy weight of its rider. What might first appear whimsical quickly becomes unsettling: a ruler sustained not by strength, but by a vulnerable foundation.
The rusted, industrial backdrop deepens the sense of decay, positioning the… scene within a world where power and wealth are both unstable and corrosive. This work interrogates the uneasy bond between authority and capital, suggesting that systems built on greed carry within them the seeds of collapse. Both satirical and haunting, it asks us to reflect on the absurd spectacle of power propped up by fragile means.
