A river of light flows through abstract terrain in this visionary landscape. Layered forms—part forest, part memory—evoke a dreamlike passage through colour, gesture, and mood. The title suggests a sacred or psychic distance: these waters may be longed… for, but not possessed. Like much of my work, 'The Waters Beyond Reach' merges the natural world with interior states, treating the landscape as a site of spiritual reflection and poetic myth.
The painting's innovation lies in re-inflecting the landscape genre through a deeply personal visual language that merges ecological imagination with metaphysical yearning.
