About this artwork
On a yellow painted MDF board with a yellow painted pine frame are 4 objects. One is an articulated manually operated machine that has been constucted from scratch in brass and steel. It can be unhooked from the stand it sits on and played with. Object 2 is a white spray painted brass disc that will spin when turned. Next is a the word 'Bigger' which has been hand pierced from brass and spray painted white. The last object is a steel and brass door…

Tim Carson is a prize-winning sculptor based in the United Kingdom whose works have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Switzerland, Portugal, Austria, Belgium, Norway, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. Inspired by his childhood spent the Herefordshire countryside, he was fascinated by discarded machinery and old abandoned buildings. Drawn to the air of limbo surrounding these objects, which Carson now brings into his current compositions, exploring themes relating to displacement.
