About this artwork
This is a semi-abstracted painting of a coca plant which is the basis to produce cocaine. The idea behind this piece is that cocaine is an illegal drug that has ruined lives, put people in prison and a lot of other negative points related to it. However at the end of the day it's just a plant doing what it does, grow... Without knowing anything about this painting you wouldn't know any difference between this and one of the artist's coffee paintings.

« My main concern within the work is exploring the color field. Although vivid, my works are invariably balanced, using a signature color palette of extremely bright and intense hues. »
