By casting the organic in hard cold Iron and Bronze the artist counterpoints the fragile reality of the individual role within the greater flow of existence.

Fire and alchemy have always played a large part in Tim Rawlins’ sculptural works. The UK-based artist’s fascination with ancient relics, ritual objects, and standing stones manifests itself into his creations where he delves into archetypal, ancient, sacred, and sensual themes. Often working on many pieces at the same time, Rawlins developed his own casting facility in order to create directly, allowing the freedom of greater creative risk-taking.
