Hope in the face of seemingly endless exploitation and destruction, Nature prevails magnificently. High in an abandoned quarry, a seed found just enough to take hold. Now it is a tree, splitting the rock and creating its own soil and environment, regenerating the once barren landscape.

Fire and alchemy have always played a large part in Tim Rawlins’ sculptural works. The UK-based artist’s fascination with ancient relics, ritual objects, and standing stones manifests itself into his creations where he delves into archetypal, ancient, sacred, and sensual themes. Often working on many pieces at the same time, Rawlins developed his own casting facility in order to create directly, allowing the freedom of greater creative risk-taking.
