This work from the series “Atmospheric Eye-Catchers” combines a vibrant color palette with an expressive portrait and has a special history.
About 20 years ago, I created the original work as a large-format charcoal work on paper and then reworked the work digitally on the computer – an impressive process given the technical possibilities of the time around the year 2000.
The dominant tones of purple and green create a fascinating tension, while… the figure depicted captivates the viewer with a thoughtful look. The subtle gestures reflect emotions that oscillate between inner strength and delicate vulnerability. Abstracted elements in the background give the scene depth and scope for interpretation.
