He felt a deep connection with the curving of I-beams as something monumentally new in steel sculpture. He has always sculpted in curved shapes, it was almost instinctual. The curving of large steel materials felt primal and modern, all at once.

Timothy Carter is an American sculptor whose main theme and theory relates to the principle that "art heals". The artist, who has exhibited his works in several events nationally, creates monumental steel compositions using I-beams, which are curved using only hydraulics. No heat is applied during Carter's artistic process. He describes this method as being "unique and groundbreaking".
