Tiven has always seen the beauty in people, beyond their masks. The French painter feels compelled to show her subject’s strengths, fears, light, and the beauty of their souls in her modern figurative works. Some of Tiven’s compositions are accompanied by texts in the form of haikus that speak of our everyday struggles. She paints with acrylics on cotton or linen canvas, finishing with a varnish that gives her pieces an ‘oil effect’.
