Tobias Staaf uses painting as a channel to 'ventilate' what he is not able to express through speech or the written word, giving him an inner sense of calm. The Swedish painter's abstract works are also inspired by his surroundings, meetings with people, and nature. Staaf prefers larger canvases and paints mainly using acrylics while also appreciating the properties of oils.
