About this artwork
“Homeward Bound” - the day’s end glimpsed from a car window.
This painting is part of my ‘Blur’ series of unconventional artworks where the subject matter is vaguely familiar yet foreign. Sharp lines and detail have been omitted in the painting process of layered aerosol paint resulting in an image as if seen though squinting eyes or an unfocussed camera and where realist and abstract painting overlap.
This artwork was exhibited as part of the… 'Artists to Watch' exhibition at Lethbridge Gallery, Brisbane in Sept 2022.
This artwork has a stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 64cm (w) x 64cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
