About this artwork
When I saw this image by Austrian photographer Robert Nitsch I knew that I had to get in touch and ask if I could paint it - to which he kindly agreed. I've taken a few artistic liberties on the reference and I'm very happy with the way it's turned out. This image has everything that I look for in an urban scene to paint - blur and sharp focus, perspective, reflections and a bright popping palette of oranges and reds against the complimentary blues…
and darks of the night.
Painted with an airbrush in synthetic polymer on aluminium mounted on a stretched canvas. This artwork has a charcoal stained Tasmanian oak shadow frame with the framed dimensions of 64cm (w) x 95cm (h) x 5.5cm (d).
