Venice has this dream like quality, it's as though you are walking in a cloud. Everything is so elemental; when it rains there is nothing but water. It is a city of mirrors.
On one of my walks I discovered this narrow Venetian waterway and felt inspired to translate the scene onto canvas. Using a strong single point perspective I blurred the line between water and atmosphere. Leading the viewer on a vertical journey and engulfing them in peach… hues.
