About this artwork
In my oil painting work I have created a figurative representation that vividly explores the tension between visibility and concealment. Using powerful brushstrokes, I painted the human figure with an explosion of white, evoking emotions of intensity, confusion and release. This work will bring a dynamic and thoughtful energy to any space, encouraging viewers to reflect and dialogue.

The German artist Tom Gefken was born in Bremen in 1960, where he still lives today. He is a founding member of the Galerie des Westens GaDeWe in Bremen and works as a freelance artist in a variety of areas including painting, assemblage, object and installation.
