This work is part of a series of large-format paintings in which the fire element is the only protagonist.
The particularity of these paintings is the working technique used. The procedure used is oil painting, but this has been subjected to a continuous process of construction and deconstruction through varnishes, thinners and oils. So from afar, the paintings give the appearance of a realistic painting and yet, when observed closely, they practically… become abstract paintings as a consequence of the amount of textures and nuances that can be appreciated in the work. In this way the work is shown to change depending on the distance at which the viewer observes it.
