About this artwork
This work arose from a deep desire to capture the fragility and complexity of human existence. Through lithography, I attempted to make visible the fleeting emotions and inner radiance of a transient existence. This figure radiates a powerful yet vulnerable energy that fills any room with an intense, contemplative atmosphere.
I hope that, at least before the end, I've managed to get you to look at the pictures. If I still have the strength, I'll… build my own funeral pyre. My tremors are worsening; I can't even draw anymore, even though I can't afford a single piece of charcoal—a state-sanctioned measure. Deprive me of my livelihood, and the rest will follow.
